A well-established and growing organisation is seeking an ambitious, proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join its finance team. This is a varied and hands-on role supporting multiple entities within a dynamic group structure.

Reporting into the finance team, you will be responsible for day-to-day transactional accounting duties, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and strong financial controls across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supplier invoice processing, statement reconciliations and query resolution

  • Preparing weekly payment runs

  • Intercompany transactions

  • Daily Bank reconciliation

  • Credit card expense processing

  • Maintaining workflows within the AP systems

  • Identifying fixed assets and support processing through the system

  • Direct Debit collections

  • Setting up new clients

  • Processing client terminations, credits and scheme changes

  • General support on client invoicing

  • Affiliate invoicing and credit control for affiliates

  • Support with the preparation of ESG data for reporting

  • Prepare the purchase and expense accruals

  • General analysis of expenditure as required


The Person

  • Graduate, AAT PQ or has previous experience of working in a similar role

  • Manages time effectively to provide flexible support as part of a transactional finance team

  • Demonstrates highly professional written and verbal communication skills

  • Meticulous attention to detail

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office suite

  • Experience with Sage Intacct is desirable

  • Cool, calm, and collected in the face of challenge or pressure and can move from task to task with ease, prioritising as required

  • Self-motivated and uses own initiative to solve problems

  • A team player, always ready to get stuck in and help, but equally happy working independently
