Our Story
And talking of relationships…
One of the most important ones, is ours.
Our paths first crossed back in 2012, working for one of the biggest names in recruitment. Back then, we specialised in construction, filling roles from entry level to senior leadership. With decades of experience between us, we too progressed through the ranks, but something was missing.
Flora went in search of it first, moving into finance recruitment and joining a boutique agency where relationships were built, and built strong, with Dan following shortly after. When, after nine successful years, that agency suddenly closed, we decided it was time to go it alone, continuing our trusted partnership and establishing Hamilton Jones together.

Flora Hamilton
I knew, if ever I started a business, that I wanted it to be here, serving Chester, Merseyside, and North Wales. I’ve tried big cities, and corporate life, but it just wasn’t for me, something kept bringing me back to my roots. I love this region. Here, I’m grounded, and well connected. When I’m not working, I’m painting, gardening, cooking, or on a hike. My guilty pleasure: period properties and all the problems they bring!

A proud Cestrian, I’ve spent a lifetime around the North Wales/Chester borders. The big cities and a career in legal came calling but I’ve always known that connection is what drives me. I’m passionate about people and about the place I’m lucky to call home. A slowly improving runner, I’m outside as much as possible, enjoying everything the region has to offer. My guilty pleasures: good food, exceptional wine, and Anfield!
