An established and highly respected organisation is seeking an experienced Finance / Senior Finance Assistant to join its finance team in North Wales (Easily accessible from Conwy, Colwyn Bay, Llandudno & Bangor)

Working alongside experienced professionals, you'll play an integral role in the day-to-day operation of the accounts function, ensuring accuracy, compliance and the efficient processing of high-volume and/or high-value financial transactions.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong transactional finance experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, detail-focused role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining accounts in accordance with internal controls and industry regulations

  • Processing receipts, payments and account transfers accurately and efficiently

  • Completing daily, weekly and monthly bank reconciliations

  • Processing electronic payments

  • Reviewing financial statements and transaction documentation, liaising with colleagues where necessary

  • Assisting with month-end procedures and reporting

  • Supporting payroll processing or liaising with external payroll providers

  • Assisting with year-end accounts preparation

  • Supporting external accountants and auditors

  • Ensuring compliance with internal financial controls, AML procedures and regulatory requirements

  • Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and efficiencies


The Person

  • Strong transactional finance experience

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Confident managing high-value and high-volume financial transactions

  • Previous experience within a regulated finance environment would be beneficial

  • Strong organisational and communication skills

  • Approachable with good people skills

  • Comfortable working to strict procedures and deadlines
